Reporting to the Head of School, the ideal candidate will be in charge of the following responsibilities:
Finance Management
Develop and oversee the annual budget in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Monitor financial performance against budgetary goals and implement corrective actions as needed.
Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Administration Management
Coordinate administrative functions such as record-keeping, filing, and correspondence.
Implement and maintain efficient office procedures and workflows.
Oversee facility management, including maintenance, security, and utilities.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
People
Assist in the recruitment and hiring process for administrative and support staff.
Coordinate employee onboarding and training programmes.
Supervise payroll and benefits administration.
Address employee relations issues and ensure compliance with labour laws.
Strategic Planning
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term financial and administrative strategies.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Stay informed about trends and developments in finance and administration within the education sector/in the relevant markets where the school operates.
Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a liaison between the school and external stakeholders, including vendors, regulatory agencies, and community organisations.
Communicate financial and administrative policies and procedures to staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders.
Respond to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is desirable.
Previous experience in financial management and administration, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Commitment to the mission and values of the school.
Required Skills
The candidate must be bilingual English, Dutch.
